The Team
|
Black Rose C.C. plays every Sunday, home matches being played at the gound located in Highgate Woods. The team has a long standing association with the Roses Ale House (a.k.a. The Black Rose as it was once called), where they can be found every Sunday evening after a match.
Since 1999 Rose have been skippered by Andre Mishra, who has cunningly combined his sporting flair, the game of golf, and a keen sense of competition, to mould the Black Rose into the team they are today. There is never a dull game of cricket when Mishra's mighty hammer is striking leather. |

| Nets |
| Summer nets are also in the Woods, near the bottom end of the pitch. These start at 6pm every Thursday, and all new comers are welcome (if not eagerly encouraged to take the strain off some of the older players!). Ability is not essential, only a suicidal ability to stop a ball, and a desire to talk a game (if not play one). After the vigorous work out, refreshment usually comes in the liquid variety back at the pub, where tactics for the coming Sundays match are discussed in detail. |
